Finally!!! The last section of the ship was removed from the site and taken to port for final salvage. While there is still a lot of clean up remaining this is a big mile stone in the salvage operation of the Golden Ray which capsized over 2 years ago on 9/8/2019 in the sound of St Simons Island, Georgia. Briese research are extending their cooperation with Nautitec for their research training projects. As from immediate effect, a model of the research vessel “Maria S. Merian” can be used for tailor made training at NAUTITEC´s Leer-based simulator facilities.

Singapore will have a dedicated 5G network covering its port waters by mid-2025. The network will be provided by local telco M1. It will allow the country to testbed maritime use cases that will make sea operations smoother and safer. Initial projects for the testbed will focus on the remote guiding of ships within Singapore's waters by qualified professionals known as harbour pilots. The P and O ship Adonia leaving Lisbon on 3-11-14. This was the Pilot's second attempt to leave the ship. A smaller cutter found the seas too rough to take off the Pilot so this larger cutter took over.
