The Rebranding of PSA Marine Peru

Following the 100% acquisition of Tramarsa Flota S.A. by PSA Marine (Pte) Ltd (“PSA Marine”) on 12 February 2020, the Peru-based marine services operator unveiled its new name and brand - PSA Marine Peru S.A. (“PSA Marine Peru”), effective 19 August 2020.

They finally completed cutting the 1st section (the bow) and transported it via barge to Brunswick Ga. The Golden Ray (a vehicle ship) capsized on 9/8/2019 and is being cut and dismantled to remove it from St Simons Channel, St Simons Island Ga. Fewer vessels in voyage mean less pilotage and this means less income for many Pilots. Not every Pilot is an employee and many pilots are self-employed and organised in a brotherhood per example. They are earning only money if they are piloting a vessel. No vessel – no money.

Here’s a pretty cool video covering the recent sea trials we undertook with the La Coruna pilot boat. Some nice gale footage 20 miles offshore, and the fun we had trying to land the drone back down in high winds as well as alongside ship handling trials with the Taccola, operating out of Cork Harbour at present.
