It contains stock footage of Brindisi, a city in the region of Apulia in southern Italy: passengers relaxing in the deck of the ship, the pilot boat driving the ferry to the port, ships docking in the port, Brindisi waterfront including the Roman pillar marking the end of the Via Appia route, and more.

As the container shipping industry continues to boom, companies are adopting new technologies to move cargo faster and shifting to crewless ships. Safehaven Marine have launched another new Pilot boat, there 20th Interceptor 48 and 46th pilot vessel overall for the River Plate pilots in Montevideo, Uruguay. ‘Belgrano’ named after the famous Argentine general, will operate on the River Plate estuary, also famous for being the place of the first naval battle during the second world war, where the German battle cruiser, the Admiral Graf Spee was scuttled.

Pilot recruitment has traditionally been based on seniority, and extensive sea experience. However, a more modern approach, hiring younger, motivated candidates with structured training, offers an alternative path with compelling advantages.
